Perancangan Sistem Informasi Akademik pada Sekolah Kursus Musik Berbasis Web

Abstract

Vienna Music School is a course school that has offered musical instrument training since 1988, however, the current academic system is still done manually, resulting in data management being inefficient and learning activities being disrupted due to the difficulty of obtaining information. Therefore, a web-based academic information system design was created that could help improve the efficiency and accuracy of data management at the Vienna Music School. The development method used in this design is Rapid Application Development using an Object-Oriented approach and the design method uses Unified Modeling Language (UML). The design results created are in the form of Use Case Diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams, prototypes and application interfaces. This design has features for managing academic data, registering new students, scheduling learning, and collecting student exam data.

Abstrak

Vienna Music School merupakan sekolah kursus yang menawarkan pelatihan instrumen musik sejak tahun 1988 akan tetapi, sistem akademik yang berjalan masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga mengakibatkan pengelolaan data menjadi tidak efisien dan kegiatan pembelajaran menjadi terganggu dikarenakan sulitnya untuk mendapatkan informasi. Oleh karena itu, dibuatlah sebuah perancangan sistem informasi akademik berbasis web yang dapat membantu meningkatkan efisiensi serta akurasi pengelolaan data pada Vienna Music School. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan dalam perancangan ini adalah menggunakan Rapid Application Development dengan menggunakan pendekatan Object-Oriented dan metode perancangan menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML). Hasil perancangan yang dibuat adalah berupa Use Case Diagram, Entity Relationship Diagram, prototype dan antarmuka aplikasi. Perancangan ini memiliki fitur untuk pengelolaan data-data akademik, pendaftaran murid baru, penjadwalan pembelajaran, dan pendataan ujian siswa.
