Analisis Perbandingan Performansi Metode HSRP Dan VRRP Sebagai Backup Link Koneksi Jaringan
Abstract
Failure on a computer network consists of device failure, as well as network management used. This study aims to develop a redundancy-based backup link network, namely a network system that is used to perform backups if a problem occurs on the network, as well as to anticipate interruptions in the case of network device failure, especially problems on local networks that are connected directly using the gateway address. By using redundancy, the client will be connected using a virtual IP address. This research was conducted to create redundant network services by taking a case study of the ISP Aeronet network. The results of measuring packet loss parameters on the VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) network if there is a problem with the master router and switching access to the backup router are superior to the HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol) network, namely VRRP 0.8% while HSRP is 2%. However, the transfer of the backup router to the master HSRP network is superior to the VRRP network by 1.2% while HSRP is 0.7%. Meanwhile, the failure over master to backup analysis on VRRP and HSRP networks has the same delay value of 0.3 ms. Whereas fail over backup to master HSRP network is superior to VRRP network, namely HSRP is 01 ms while VRRP is 10 ms. From the results of these data it can be seen that HSRP redundancy is superior to VRRP redundancy.

Abstrak
Kegagalan pada jaringan komputer dapat berupa kegagalan perangkat, juga manajemen jaringan yang digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan jaringan backup link berbasis redundancy, yaitu sistem jaringan yang digunakan untuk melakukan backup jika terjadi sebuah permasalahan pada jaringan, serta untuk mengantisipasi gangguan dalam kasus kegagalan perangkat jaringan khususnya permasalahan pada jaringan lokal yang terkoneksi langsung menggunakan alamat gateway. Dengan menggunakan redundancy, client akan terkoneksi menggunakan alamat IP virtual. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil studi kasus jaringan milik ISP Aeronet. Hasil dari pengukuran parameter packet loss terhadap jaringan VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) jika terjadi permasalahan pada router master dan berpindah akses ke router backup lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan jaringan HSRP (Hot Standby Router Protocol) yaitu VRRP 0,8% sedangkan HSRP 2%. Namun, perpindahan router backup to master jaringan HSRP lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan jaringan VRRP sebesar 1,2% sedangkan HSRP 0,7%. Sedangkan untuk analisis fail over master to backup pada jaringan VRRP dan HSRP memiliki nilai delay yang sama sebesar 0,3 ms. Fail over backup to master jaringan HSRP lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan jaringan VRRP yaitu HSRP sebesar 01 ms dan VRRP 10 ms. Dari hasil data tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa redundancy HSRP lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan redundancy VRRP.
