Abstract

Abstract

Saving energy is an indispensable today, both within the household and in the wider environment. The use of water reservoir or tank used to store water can minimize energy use electric process water pumps use just one time, and the water can still flow over the water in the reservoir is still there even though electricity is being extinguished. To determine the height or the water level in the reservoir is very difficult if done manually while the location of the reservoir is in a high place, so that when the charging process common water over flow tank or cross the line height, and also the absence of a warning system if the water does not enter into the reservoir in a certain time, so that the water pump continuously illuminated. Thus it came to pass electrical energy waste and water are wasted. Ultrasonic sensor serves as a measure of the distance between the water with the sensor, then converted to a percentage of the water level, so that the known amount of water level in the reservoir. Ultrasonic sensors are used is HC-SR04, wherein the shortest distance from the sensor is two centimeters and the farthest distance is three meters. In this study investigated how the effectiveness of ultrasonic sensors to detect water level.
