Evaluasi Backup Cloud Incremental untuk Efisiensi dan Recovery Data Multimedia
Abstract
Multimedia data management in digital content production companies requires a reliable backup system since event coverage and livestreaming data cannot be reproduced. CV Lesmana Jaya still relies on manual storage based on local media, which is vulnerable to data loss, inefficient in capacity, and slow in recovery. This study aims to evaluate the performance of cloud-based incremental backup compared to conventional full backup in terms of storage efficiency and multimedia data recovery speed. Evaluation was conducted through five backup cycle tests using CV Lesmana Jaya's multimedia dataset by measuring four parameters: storage efficiency, backup speed, Recovery Time Objective (RTO), and Recovery Point Objective (RPO). Results show that the incremental method saves storage capacity by 74.3%, accelerates the backup process by an average of 74.5%, and reduces RTO by up to 82.3% compared to full backup. Cloud-based incremental backup is proven more efficient and faster in data recovery and is therefore recommended as a multimedia data backup strategy at CV Lesmana Jaya.

Abstrak
Pengelolaan data multimedia pada perusahaan jasa produksi konten digital memerlukan sistem pencadangan yang handal karena data hasil liputan acara dan livestreaming bersifat tidak dapat diulang. CV Lesmana Jaya masih mengandalkan penyimpanan manual berbasis media lokal yang rentan terhadap kehilangan data, tidak efisien dalam kapasitas, dan lambat dalam pemulihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kinerja metode incremental backup berbasis cloud dibandingkan metode full backup konvensional dalam hal efisiensi penyimpanan dan kecepatan pemulihan data multimedia. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengujian lima siklus backup menggunakan dataset multimedia CV Lesmana Jaya dengan mengukur empat parameter efisiensi penyimpanan, kecepatan backup, Recovery Time Objective (RTO), dan Recovery Point Objective (RPO). Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan metode incremental mampu menghemat kapasitas penyimpanan sebesar 74,3%, mempercepat proses backup rata-rata 74,5%, serta menurunkan RTO hingga 82,3% dibandingkan full backup. Metode incremental backup berbasis cloud terbukti lebih efisien dan lebih cepat dalam pemulihan data sehingga direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pencadangan data multimedia pada CV Lesmana Jaya.
