Abstract

FURE is a plastic waste management startup that recycles waste into functional furniture products. The main challenges faced are the low public trust in recycled products and the lack of education about their benefits. This study aims to develop the UI/UX design of the FURE application using the User Centered Design (UCD) method, focusing on user needs. The design process was carried out through stages of context identification, user requirement determination, solution design, and evaluation. Usability testing was conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The first iteration showed an effectiveness of 83.75%, efficiency of 92.59%, and a satisfaction score of 78. After design improvements, the second iteration increased to 92.5% effectiveness, 82.3% efficiency, and 85 satisfaction. These results indicate that the developed design successfully improved effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction while supporting public participation in recycled product initiatives.
