Perancangan Sistem Informasi Persediaan Barang Menggunakan Metode FAST Pada PT Puguh Bachti Karsa
Abstract
The use of information systems technology provided significant advantages for companies that demand accurate, reliable, fast, relevant, and detailed information flow. Perusahaan Ekspor “X” was one of the companies engaged in the field of fresh fish exports with destinations in Asia and the United States. The existing inventory information system at Perusahaan Ekspor “X” was still done manually. As a result, the time required to produce accurate reports and make the right sales transactions was longer, and the risk of errors in recording was also greater. Web-based applications in the process of recording inventory of goods using the Framework for the Application of System Thinking (FAST) method consisted of phases Scope Definition, Problem Analysis, Requirements Analysis, Logical Design and Physical Design. The results of the implementation of this research were expected to provide solutions to problems at Perusahaan Ekspor “X” in recording and reporting inventory.

Abstrak
Penggunaan teknologi sistem informasi memberikan manfaat yang signifikan bagi perusahaan yang menginginkan aliran informasi yang akurat, terpercaya, cepat, relevan, dan terperinci. Perusahaan Ekspor “X” merupakan salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang ekspor ikan segar dengan tujuan Asia dan Amerika Serikat. Sistem Informasi persediaan barang yang ada di Perusahaan Ekspor “X” masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga waktu yang diperlukan untuk menghasilkan laporan yang akurat dan melakukan transaksi penjualan barang yang tepat menjadi lebih lama, dan risiko kesalahan dalam pencatatan juga semakin besar. Aplikasi berbasis website dalam proses pencatatan persediaan barang menggunakan metode Framework for the Application of System Thinking (FAST) terdiri dari fase-fase Scope Definition, Problem Analysis, Requirements Analysis, Logical Design dan Physical Design. Hasil implementasi dari riset ini dapat memberikan solusi permasalahan pada Perusahaan Ekspor “X” dalam pencatatan dan pelaporan persediaan barang.
