Penerapan Rapid Application Development pada Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Penanganan Lahan Gambut Palangka Raya

Abstract

Abstrak. Setiap tahun kejadian kebakaran lahan gambut sangat mengganggu kehidupan masyarakat di Kota Palangka Raya. Kurangnya personel dan kerjasama masyarakat dalam penyebaran informasi yang cepat dan akurat mengenai titik-titik kebakaran lahan gambut, menyebabkan proses pemadaman kebakaran lahan gambut menjadi kurang optimal. Oleh karena itu dipandang perlu adanya sebuah sistem untuk membantu penyebaran informasi mengenai titik-titik kebakaran lahan gambut di Kota Palangka Raya. Karena dengan sistem informasi tersebut, pihak-pihak terkait lebih mudah menangani kebakaran lahan gambut dengan cepat. Paper ini membahas penerapan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) pada Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Penanganan Lahan Gambut di Kota Palangka Raya dengan tahapan berupa Scope Definition, Analysis, Design, Construction dan Testing. Sistem informasi penanganan kebakaran lahan gambut yang dibangun bertujuan untuk mendorong masyarakat untuk ikut berpartisipasi menjadi relawan dan berbagi informasi terjadinya kebakaran lahan. Sistem ini memiliki fasilitas tentang informasi lahan gambut, prosedur penanganan kebakaran lahan gambut, serta fasilitas utama berupa Sistem Informasi Geografis berbasis Googlemaps. Hasi uji user menunjukkan sebanyak 80% responden setuju aplikasi yang dibangun bersifat user friendly dan mudah digunakan dalam penyebaran informasi titik lokasi kebakaran lahan gambut di Kota Palangka Raya.

 Abstract. Every year, the incidence of peatland fires greatly disrupts people's lives in Palangka Raya City. Lack of personnel and community cooperation in the dissemination of rapid and accurate information on peatland fire points, causing the process of peatland fires to be less optimal. There needs to be a system to help spread information on peatland fire points in the city of Palangka Raya. Due to this information system, the parties are more easily able to handle peatland fires quickly. This study discusses the implementation of the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method on the development of Peatland management Information system in Palangka Raya city with various stages: Scope Definition, Analysis, Design, Construction and Testing. The Peatland Fire Management Information System was built to encourage people to participate in volunteering and to share information about land fires. The system has facilities on peatland information, peatland Fire handling procedures, as well as key facilities in the form of a Googlemaps-based geographic information system. The user test result showed that 80% of respondents agreed that the application built was user friendly and easy to use in disseminating information on the location of peatland fires in Palangka Raya City.
