Abstract

Kata kunci: Kakao, Sistem Pakar, Breadth First Search   ABSTRACT Cocoa is one of estate crops that have high economic value but it also can make a substantial contribution, thereby increasing source of income in Indonesia. In 2010, Indonesia managed to position number three after Ghana and Ivory Coast as the world's largest cocoa producer. But the amount of cocoa production in South Kalimantan decline caused by a lack of knowledge of farmers in caring for and cultivate them. That is the background of this research, which this expert system uses forward chaining method as a method of searching through the symptoms that have been inserted along Breadth First Search (BFS) as a tracking algorithm every rule that has been set. So as to produce a cocoa plant diagnosis expert system is right for the farmers. Based on the test results pretest accuracy in diagnosing farmers was 11%, while after using the system (posttest) accuracy in diagnosing result is at 100%. Keywords: Cocoa, Expert System, Breadth First Search.
