Perancangan UI/UX Aplikasi Peminjaman Buku Online dengan Metode Design Thinking pada Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Salatiga

Abstract

The Salatiga City Library and Archives Office is an office that provides book lending services and archives Salatiga City documents. As one of the public facility services, the Library Office strives to improve its service quality, especially in terms of easy access to infrastructure, especially books in the library. Currently, the office has adopted website technology to find out available book information but there are obstacles, namely websites that can only be accessed through the internal network, frequent website down time, difficulty in accessing book availability. To answer these problems, UI/UX design is carried out using the design thinking problem solving method. In this method contains 5 stages, namely Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Testing. This UI design uses a mobile first design approach by utilizing 127 respondents as testers using Single Esae Question (SEQ) as a testing method to get a score of 6.4. So that the high-fidelity prototype can be understood easily and has answered the problems by users.

Abstrak

Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kota Salatiga merupakan dinas yang memberikan layanan peminjaman buku dan menjadi tempat arsip dokumen Kota Salatiga. Sebagai salah satu layanan fasilitas publik, Dinas Perpustakaan berupaya untuk dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan khususnya dalam kemudahan akses sarana prasarana terutama buku yang ada di perpustakaan. Saat ini, dinas telah mengadopsi teknologi website untuk mengetahui informasi buku yang tersedia namun terdapat kendala yaitu website yang hanya bisa diakses melalui internal jaringan, sering terjadi down time website, kesulitan dalam akses ketersediaan buku. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukan perancangan UI/UX menggunakan metode penyelesaian masalah design thinking. Pada metode ini berisi 5 tahapan ialah Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, dan Testing. Perancangan desain UI ini menggunakan pendekatan mobile first design dengan memanfaatkan 127 responden sebagai penguji dengan menggunakan Single Esae Question (SEQ) sebagai metode pengujian sehingga mendapatkan hasil nilai 6,4. Sehingga high-fidelity prototype dapat dipahami dengan mudah dan sudah menjawab permasalahan oleh pengguna.
